- ‘very likely’ to change travel plans to reduce impact on environment

Only 23% of those who said environmental impact was important
in destination choice would change their plans to reduce impact

 

5. What changes would they make?

- Choose an airline with a reputation for fuel-efficient planes.

- Choose accommodation promoted as ‘green tourism’ .

- Choose an operator which subscribed to a carbon                              

                                       offsetting scheme.

- Switch from car to public transport.

- Switch from plane to another form of transport.

- Take a holiday which involved taking part in conservation

 

                                       activities.
