Sustainability TeamThe team was created to enhance the connection between Arts and Tourism. It is felt that these two interrelated sectors could work better together for mutual gain.
The team believes that many visitors do come to Scotland for our arts – e.g., festivals ranging from the Hebridean Celtic Festival, through Celtic Connections to The Edinburgh International Festival. Visitors arriving in Scotland for other reasons also enjoy Arts and Culture which adds an important dimension to their trip. Indeed many Scottish artists are better known internationally than they are here in Scotland.
We believe Arts and Culture needs a higher profile within tourism and we aim to do something about this!
